Summer musicians: Midsummer Quartet

The Midsummer Quartet is a piano quartet consisting of Ester Stålberg violin, Hugo Svensson viola, Klara Rinnemo cello and Herman Pellbäck piano. The ensemble plays classical music and explores both Viennese classical and newly composed pieces. The members of the Midsummer Quartet also perform in other constellations, such as piano trio, string trio and duo.

Every summer since 2010, Konserthuset Stockholm employs young summer musicians to give concerts during the summer season. This year, there are six ensembles, selected after audition, with music students aged 16–19 who five times a day offer varied music in the genres of classical, jazz or vocal in Konserthuset Stockholm’s entrance foyer towards Hötorget. The concerts are about 20 minutes long with free entrance.
