Sound and Vision – OrganSpace Festival
The magnificent Konserthuset organ and the award-winning organist Johannes Skoog are part of the international organ festival in Stockholm.
OrganSpace is Stockholm’s international organ festival, held every other year. From 11 to 14 September, concerts will take place with nine outstanding organists performing at Konserthuset Stockholm, Stockholm City Hall, various churches around the city, and the former nuclear reactor hall at the Royal Institute of Technology.
This is a unique opportunity to experience some of the city’s magnificent organs played by musicians of the highest international calibre! The weekend also includes a youth camp at the Royal College of Music and a children’s day with workshops.
At this concert we hear Johannes Skoog, winner of both the First Prize and the Bach Prize (awarded for the best interpretation of works by Johann Sebastian Bach) at the 2024 Canadian International Organ Competition, the world’s largest organ competition. He has been appointed Court Organist by H.M. The King, and has performed at some of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls and cathedrals, including Notre-Dame in Paris, the Philharmonie de Paris and King’s College, Cambridge.
