Bengan’s Stage for Two – featuring Jill Johnson

Folk musician and accordion virtuoso Bengan Janson defies categorisation. His joy of playing and boundless curiosity have led him to the worlds of jazz, folk and chanson. Over the years, he has collaborated with almost every major Swedish artist – across virtually every genre. “Meeting other musicians is what drives me,” says Bengan Janson.

The autumn edition of Stage for Two, in which Bengan Janson appeared with Mikael Samuelson, Tomas von Brömssen and Anne Sofie von Otter, was an instant success. The series continues this spring with two acclaimed guests – world-renowned jazz guitarist Ulf Wakenius and actor Maria Lundqvist – before culminating in this very  special finale.

Now we meet Jill Johnson, one of Sweden’s most beloved artists. She has brought country music and Nashville to the forefront of the Swedish music scene, releasing numerous albums, while her concerts and tours have been widely acclaimed.

Jill Johnson has collaborated with some of the most distinguished US songwriters and artists in the genre. Many will also recognise her from the popular SVT series Jills Veranda, which has received several prestigious awards.
