About the concert
På svenskaFrom Baroque to the present day with countertenor and piano.
The name Duo Fabulae is Latin for “two stories”. The duo consists of pianist Otis Kenward and countertenor Matheo Vivien. Drawing on their years at Lilla Akademien Music Upper Secondary School, they have built up a broad repertoire. The high male vocal register of the countertenor is associated with Baroque music (the era of the castrati), but Duo Fabulae also performs repertoire from later musical periods. The duo has also given premieres of new music. Otis Kenward is also active as a composer and will continue his studies in England this autumn. With extensive experience from a range of stage productions already behind him, Matheo Vivien has now been admitted to the School of Music and Opera at Mälardalen University.
