Welcome to a concert featuring musicians from the Orchestra Academy performing alongside musicians from El Sistema Södertälje and the Falun Conservatory of Music.
The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra Academy offers advanced academic training with an international focus. Two of this season’s Academy musicians are taking part in this concert: French violinist Rébecca Normand-Condat and Latvian horn player Karlis Matiss Lignickis.
El Sistema Södertälje, with which the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra has collaborated since its inception in 2012, is an orchestral music programme for children from preschool class upwards. The Falun Conservatory of Music is one of Sweden’s leading upper-secondary music schools for young musicians aspiring to professional careers.
Similar collaborations bringing together musicians and ensembles at different stages of their musical education have taken place annually since 2022.
