This year’s Kammerton Festival opens with the visionary concert Imaginary Worlds – an invitation to the audience to embark on a journey into fantasy, sound, and unexpected encounters.

The festival vision is to uniting young artists and audience through the power of music, and the accordion often takes centre stage at the concerts. At this opening concert, the Kammerton Ensemble – made up of some of Sweden’s most promising young musicians – meets the internationally acclaimed French accordionist Julien Beautemps, whose expressiveness and virtuosity open doors to entirely new musical landscapes. Together, they explore music’s power to build bridges between cultures, genres, and generations, and the possibility of bringing to life the imaginary worlds hidden within every note.

The concert’s title reflects its content, ranging from intimate sonorities and subtle nuances to powerful, energetic outbursts. In dialogue with the festival’s theme Images, sounds transform into pictures and pictures into sounds. The familiar takes on new contours, and the unexpected becomes a source of wonder.

The opening concert Imaginary Worlds sets the tone for the entire festival, where music creates meeting places for inspiration, creativity, and new perspectives.
