Since his international breakthrough in 1996, Seckou Keita’s performances on the 22-stringed West African harp, the kora, have captivated audiences around the world. Through collaborations with artists such as Salif Keita, Paul Weller and Bassekou Kouyaté, he has established himself as a creative force who continues to expand the possibilities of his instrument.

Throughout his career, Seckou Keita has received several prestigious awards, including the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. He has also released 14 critically acclaimed albums, and in this concert, he performs music from some of his most celebrated recordings, including Miro, 22 Strings and Homeland (Chapter 1). Together with an ensemble of outstanding musicians, he invites audiences on a musical journey filled with infectious rhythms, beautiful melodies and world-class virtuosity.
