Sissel’s Christmas

With her unique voice and the intimate atmosphere of her concerts, Sissel Kyrkjebø has, for many, become Scandinavia’s Queen of Christmas. Christmas is about togetherness, tradition and memories, and this concert offers a journey through beautiful, well-known classics as well as new musical surprises.

“Each year I add something new so that the concert feels alive and intimate, even for those who have joined us before,” says Sissel.

About last year’s Christmas concert, Bergens Tidende wrote: “I thoroughly enjoyed myself and have gained a new respect for her as an artist.” And Avisen Agder commented: “Sissel shone; powerful, beautiful and humorous.”

At this year’s concert she is once again joined by the Swedish musical star John Martin Bengtsson. The audience can look forward to a concert experience filled with warmth, strong musical moments and occasions where sincerity, joy, smiles and laughter exist side by side – just as Christmas should be.
