Jan Lundgren’s Kind of Jazz

For the ninth time: three new concerts featuring exciting musical encounters.

A whole world is reflected in Jan Lundgren’s three concerts under the collective title Kind of Jazz. Following the successes of previous years, Kind of Jazz now returns for its ninth edition, featuring entirely new creative encounters. Kind of Jazz has become something of an institution on Stockholm’s jazz scene.

First, a declaration of love for Italy, as Jan Lundgren and bassist Hans Backenroth join forces with two of Italy’s leading jazz musicians: saxophonist Rosario Giuliani and drummer Roberto Gatto. Next comes an encounter with legendary Norwegian bassist Arild Andersen, a giant of European jazz. The programme also promises a tribute to their late friend and colleague Georg Riedel. Kind of Jazz 2027 concludes with the Jan Lundgren Trio joining forces with the exciting Armenian-American jazz vocalist Lucy Yeghiazaryan.
