About the concert
På svenskaA tribute to centenarians John Coltrane and Miles Davis.
In the 100-year-old Konserthuset Stockholm, Trane/Miles Kvintett performs music by the legendary John Coltrane and Miles Davis, both of whom would have celebrated their 100th birthdays this year. John Coltrane and Miles Davis also appeared at Konserthuset Stockholm on several occasions. The members of Trane/Miles Kvintett are students from Södra Latin and Lilla Akademien upper secondary schools. The quintet performs the music in its own arrangements and consists of Samuel Falkner (trumpet), Lorenzo Martorelli Nilsson (tenor saxophone), Odysséas Politis (piano), Viktor Jurdell (double bass) and Figge Steffen (drums).
