About the concert
På svenskaThe Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is drawn into a mystery and receives help from the famous detective agency.
One of Sweden’s most beloved worlds of children’s books comes to life at Konserthuset. LasseMaja’s Detective Agency is now brought to the stage in a specially written production for the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra – The Concert Mystery. Here, the world of mystery meets the symphony orchestra in a classic setup: a puzzle to solve, clues to follow, and a resolution where children’s imagination and engagement become key to cracking the case.
The original story is created by the series’ originators: author Martin Widmark, who has written the script for the production, and illustrator Helena Willis, who is responsible for the set design. The performance has been developed in close collaboration with Klas Backman and Ayla Kabaca, who for many years have created children’s and family productions for Konserthuset.
Since its debut with The Diamond Mystery in 2002, LasseMaja has grown into one of Sweden’s most popular children’s book series, with around thirty titles and an audience far beyond the bookshelf through film, theatre and stage productions. Here, LasseMaja’s Detective Agency becomes not only a familiar story, but also a gateway into the world of orchestral music for a new generation of concertgoers.
