About the concert

På svenska

Three double basses and harp in a musical tale of an adventure in Africa.

Together with narrator Ida Lod, we are drawn into the magical and exciting story of how the elephant got his trunk.

The story is freely based on Rudyard Kipling’s tale How the Elephant Got His Trunk. Double basses and harp proved a perfect fit, thought Mats Nilsson, who composed the music and was previously a double bassist with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. The elephant travels across Africa and encounters a host of curious characters. Naturally, the youngest audience members are welcome to play and dance as the story unfolds.

After the concert, which lasts approximately 30 minutes, there is an opportunity to try instruments in the foyer.

For children 3–5 years
