Member of the orchestra since 1993.
Daniel Holst has played in the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 1989 and has held employment with the orchestra since 1993. For many years, he has also been active on the programme council and the orchestra’s board of directors.
Daniel Holst is a versatile musician. He often plays baroque cello and viola da gamba in different contexts and is also a member of Rebaroque (formerly the Stockholm Baroque Orchestra). With his passion for baroque music and interpretation, it is also completely natural that he is a member of the Orpheus Baroque Ensemble, which was formed in 2015 and comprises musicians from the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. He was also one of the founders of the New Stockholm Chamber Orchestra, SNYKO, in 1981.
Daniel Holst regularly performs in Konserthuset’s various chamber music subscriptions, such as the Philharmonic Up-Close and Soup Concerts. In addition, he has played with the Folkoperan orchestra and has also participated in royal events.
