The Friends Association

The Friends of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra was formed for the benefit of the orchestra and musicians. Awarding scholarships is one of the cornerstones of the work.

The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra has many friends and fans, and nowhere is this more apparent than the multifaceted Friends of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, Sweden’s largest association of its kind for orchestras.

The Friends of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra was founded already in 1987. Awarding scholarships is one of the foundations of the work. The Friends not only provide scholarships to deserving members of the orchestra but finance commissioned work, educational trips and the purchase of instruments.
