Friends association celebrates anniversary
The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra has many friends and fans, and nowhere is this more apparent than the multifaceted Friends of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, Sweden’s largest association of its kind for orchestras.
Spring 2017 marks 30 years since the formation of the Friends of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. This is to be celebrated by a special anniversary scholarship, among other things. Awarding scholarships is one of the foundations of the work. The Friends not only provide scholarships to deserving members of the orchestra but finance commissioned work, educational trips and the purchase of instruments.
For the benefit of its members, the Friends arrange meetings, music excursions, listening circles and the opportunity to watch selected rehearsals.
Becoming a member is easy. You can join up by simply paying the annual fee. If you wish, you can also make a personal contribution to our scholarship fund.
The annual membership fee is 250 SEK, rising to 350 SEK for two members living at the same address. Simply make payment to our plusgiro (number 25 45 66-3).
