Christopher Öhman

Finnish-Swedish Christopher Öhman is from Jakobstad, Finland. He has been a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 2012. He previously served as section leader of the Gävle Symphony Orchestra and has substituted in many of Sweden’s professional orchestras: the Royal Swedish Orchestra, Göteborg Opera Orchestra, Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Dalasinfoniettan, Umeå Symphony Orchestra and more.
Christopher Öhman studied under professor Björn Sjögren at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he also pursued special studies in early music with Ann Wallström. He also studied chamber music at the Royal College of Music/Edsberg. Christopher Öhman regularly performs in Konserthuset’s various chamber music subscriptions.
