Jan Bengtson
Co-Principal and member of the orchestra since 1989.
Jan Bengtson has been an alternate section leader and member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 1989.He has also played with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Umeå Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Swedish Orchestra.
Bengtson is an extremely versatile musician who spans multiple genres.He is frequently engaged as a soloist, chamber musician and studio musician in every imaginable context. He also performs with Benny Andersson’s Orchestra (BAO), Svenska Lyxorkestern (“Swedish Luxury Orchestra”), Margareta Bengtson’s Orchestra and more.
