Blue House Jazz – Hiromi

We are proud to welcome the Japanese pianist and composer Hiromi to Konserthuset. She has appeared here only once before, when she performed as part of the Stockholm Jazz Festival in autumn 2012. This time, she returns with her trio – The Trio Project.

Hiromi has established herself as one of the most dynamic and innovative jazz musicians of our time, known for her exceptional technique, energetic stage presence and music that brings together jazz with elements of classical music, rock, funk and fusion. Her concerts are renowned for their intensity and playful energy. Born in Hamamatsu, Japan, Hiromi began playing the piano at the age of six. Her early passion for music led her to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she developed her distinctive style and quickly attracted international attention. Her mentor was the legendary pianist Ahmad Jamal.

Hiromi made her breakthrough with the album Another Mind (2003), and has since toured worldwide and collaborated with many leading figures in the genre – including Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke. Her most recent album is Out There (2025), with the quartet Hiromi’s Sonicwonder.
