Lauriane Dahlkvist
Member of the orchestra since 2016.
Lauriane Dahlkvist is from Lyon, France. She studied violin at the Paris Conservatory and then viola at the Music Conservatory in Lyon (2008–2011). During her studies, she focused on chamber music and string quartet performance with the members of the Ysaÿe Quartet as teachers.
She has always wanted to immerse herself even further in music and she obtained a diploma in music history, musical analysis, harmony and counterpoint. She also studied music education for two years and is a certified music teacher. At the Primrose International Viola Competition in the US in 2011, she received the “Tone Award”.
Lauriane moved to Sweden in 2014 when she was hired by the Gävle Symphony Orchestra. She has been a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 2016.
